What Injuries Are Common in Car Accidents in Omaha, NE?
Common car accident injuries in Omaha include head trauma, cuts, neck and back injuries, chest trauma, broken bones, and injuries to the legs or ankles. The type and severity of your injuries often depend on the force and direction of the collision.
If your head strikes a window, dashboard, or another surface, you may experience a concussion or more serious brain injury. Headaches, confusion, memory problems, dizziness, and sensitivity to light can develop after the initial trauma.
When your body moves suddenly during a wreck, the force can injure muscles, ligaments, spinal discs, or vertebrae. Neck and back injuries may cause stiffness, limited movement, numbness, weakness, or pain that interferes with your daily activities.
Although some injuries are immediately noticeable, others may become apparent hours or days later. A medical evaluation can identify hidden trauma, connect your symptoms to the crash, and help determine what treatment or follow-up care you may need.
When injuries require extensive treatment or prevent you from working, an
Omaha car accident lawyer can assess the resulting losses and available insurance coverage. An attorney can also address insurer questions and negotiate on your behalf.
