What Injuries Are Common After a Head-On Collision in Merrick County, NE?
Head-on collisions commonly cause head injuries, neck pain, back injuries, broken bones, and damage to muscles or ligaments. The type and severity of your injuries may depend on the combined force of the vehicles. Your position inside the vehicle may also affect how you are hurt.
In the hours afterward, you may notice headaches, stiffness, dizziness, swelling, or limited movement. Some symptoms appear immediately, while others develop after the initial shock fades. Prompt medical care can identify hidden injuries and document your need for treatment.
Across Merrick County, Highway 30, Highway 14, and rural county roads carry local and commercial traffic. Head-on collisions on these routes can place severe force on vehicle occupants. Medical records and vehicle damage may help show how the collision affected those involved.
As your recovery continues, keep hospital records, imaging results, prescriptions, therapy notes, and discharge instructions. You should also save receipts and documents showing missed work or travel expenses. These records can help establish how the crash affected your health, income, and daily activities.
