James Harris • October 22, 2026

Cass County, NE (October 22, 2026) – Two vehicles collided at Highway 34 and Highway 50 in Cass County on Thursday morning, October 22. The crash was reported around 9:13 a.m.

Initial reports indicated that one of the vehicles came to rest on its side after the collision.
Emergency units respectfully responded to assist those involved.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.

Our thoughts are with everyone involved in the crash.

What Compensation Can I Recover After a Car Accident in Cass County, NE?

After a car accident in Cass County, you may be able to recover compensation for medical bills, lost wages, vehicle damage, and pain and suffering. The amount depends on your injuries and how the crash has affected you.

In most cases, compensation comes from the insurance company of the driver who caused the crash because Nebraska is an at-fault state. If that driver has no insurance or not enough coverage, your own insurance may help, depending on your policy.

Even if you feel fine, see a doctor as soon as possible. Some injuries may not show up right away. Your medical records can help link your injuries to the crash, show how serious they are, and explain the treatment you need.

To support your claim, keep copies of your bills, pay stubs, repair estimates, and photos of your injuries and vehicle. Having these documents together can make it easier to show the insurance company how much money you have lost.

Most claims are settled with the insurance company without going to court. If the insurer refuses to offer an amount that fairly covers your losses, you may be able to file a lawsuit and have your case heard in court.

Under Nebraska law, you generally have four years from the date of the crash to file a personal injury lawsuit. If you miss this deadline, you may lose your right to seek compensation through the courts, even if your claim is valid.

If an insurer offers less than your losses may be worth, a
car accident lawyer can push back and help you seek a better outcome. An attorney can also handle the calls and paperwork while you focus on getting better.

A car accident can leave you with questions about insurance, medical bills, and what to do next. At Harris & Associates, we help people across Nebraska work through those questions and guide you through every step of the claims process.

Omaha, NE (October 22, 2026) – At least one person was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Dodge Street in Omaha on Thursday afternoon, October 22. The collision occurred around 3:07 p.m. Initial reports indicated that a black Toyota pickup truck struck the rear of a silver Honda CR-V. Omaha Fire and Rescue crews were dispatched to assist those involved. The cause of the wreck remains under investigation. We wish the injured person a full and steady recovery. What Should I Do After a Rear-End Collision in Omaha, NE? After a rear-end collision in Omaha, you should call the police, get medical care, exchange information with the other driver, and take photos of the scene. Taking these steps can help protect both your health and your claim. Even if you feel fine, neck and back pain may not appear until a day or two after the crash. Whiplash can also cause stiffness and headaches. Pay attention to any new symptoms and let your doctor know if they develop. Because Nebraska is an at-fault state, you would usually file a claim with the insurance company of the driver who caused the crash. You should also notify your own insurer, even if you plan to file through the other driver's insurance. When the other driver's insurance company contacts you, keep your answers brief and stick to the facts. You don't have to give a recorded statement right away or accept an early settlement offer before you know the full extent of your losses. Depending on your injuries, you may be able to recover compensation for medical bills, lost wages, vehicle repairs, and pain and suffering. If you need ongoing medical care, your claim may also cover future treatment costs. Under Nebraska law, you generally have four years from the date of the crash to file a personal injury lawsuit. If you miss this deadline, you may lose your right to seek compensation through the courts. If the insurance company questions your injuries or offers less than your losses may be worth, a Omaha car accident lawyer can negotiate on your behalf. An attorney can also gather the records needed to support your claim. Our team at Harris & Associates helps people injured in car accidents throughout Nebraska. We answer your questions and guide you through each step of the claims process. To learn more about your legal options after a rear-end collision in Omaha, call Harris & Associates at (402) 397-1202. Omaha, NE (October 22, 2026) – A rollover crash left a female passenger injured on I-480 near Martha Street in Omaha on Wednesday night, October 21. The crash was reported around 10:47 p.m. Initial reports indicated that the vehicle overturned. The woman was wearing a seat belt and sleeping in the back seat when the crash happened. Omaha Fire Department crews were dispatched to assist those involved. The passenger reported hip pain and minor scrapes and was taken to a hospital for further care. Authorities are working to determine what led to the collision. We wish the injured passenger a full and steady recovery. What Legal Options Do Injured Passengers Have After a Rollover Crash in Omaha, NE? If you were hurt as a passenger in a rollover crash in Omaha, you may be able to file a claim with the insurance company of the driver who caused the crash. If the claim doesn't settle, you may be able to file a lawsuit. If the at-fault driver has no insurance or insufficient coverage, uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage may provide another way to recover damages. To support your claim, get a copy of the police report and keep photos of the vehicle and your injuries. Write down the names and contact information of the driver, other drivers involved, and anyone who saw the crash. When an insurance adjuster contacts you, keep your answers brief and stick to what you know. You don't have to give a recorded statement right away. The insurance company may use your statements to challenge your claim or offer you less money. Depending on your injuries, you may be able to recover compensation for medical bills, lost wages, and pain and suffering. If your injuries require ongoing care, your claim may also cover the cost of future medical treatment. Under Nebraska law, you generally have four years from the crash date to file a personal injury lawsuit. If you miss this deadline, you may lose your right to seek compensation through the courts. When you're dealing with insurance claims as a passenger, figuring out which company should pay can be confusing. A Omaha car accident lawyer can identify the coverage that applies and deal with the insurers for you. An attorney can also help ensure your claim is filed on time. Our team at Harris & Associates helps passengers injured in car accidents throughout Nebraska. We answer your questions and walk you through each step of the claims process. Lincoln, NE (October 21, 2026) – A 70-year-old woman riding a bicycle was hurt when a car hit her near Van Dorn Street and South 16th Street in Lincoln on Tuesday afternoon, October 20. The collision was reported at about 4:51 p.m. Initial reports indicated that the woman was found on the ground near a bike trail. She was awake and talking but reportedly showed signs of an altered level of consciousness. Emergency crews arrived to help the injured woman. Authorities are investigating what led to the collision. We hope the injured woman receives the care she needs to make a full recovery. What Should I Do After a Bicycle Accident in Lincoln, NE? After a bicycle accident in Lincoln, you should get medical care right away and call the police to report the crash. You should also take photos if you can, get the driver's contact and insurance details, and keep your damaged bike and gear. Even if you feel okay at first, a head injury or internal injury may not show clear symptoms for hours or even days. Seeing a doctor soon helps you detect these injuries early, before they become harder to treat. Because Nebraska is an at-fault state, the driver who caused the crash is generally responsible for your medical bills through their liability insurance. Your own auto policy's medical payments or uninsured motorist coverage may also help, even on a bike. Depending on your injuries, your claim may include medical bills, lost income, the cost to repair or replace your bike, and pain and suffering. If you need ongoing care, your claim may also cover the cost of future treatment. If you share some of the blame for the crash, Nebraska law lowers your compensation by your percentage of fault. You can't recover anything if you are found equally or more at fault than the driver who hit you. In most cases, you have four years from the date of the crash to file a personal injury lawsuit in Nebraska. If you miss this deadline, you may lose your right to seek compensation for your injuries in court. If the driver's insurer tries to blame you because you were on a bike, a bicycle accident lawyer can gather the facts that show what really happened. An attorney can also deal with the insurance company while you focus on your recovery. Our team at Harris & Associates helps injured cyclists throughout Nebraska after serious crashes. We take the time to understand what happened and explain the options available to you. If you were injured in a bicycle accident in Lincoln, call Harris & Associates at (402) 397-1202. Murray, NE (October 21, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash at 42nd Street and Church Road near Murray left one man reporting chest and back pain. The wreck was reported around 6:53 a.m. Initial reports indicated that airbags deployed. Emergency units were dispatched to help those involved. Both people involved were able to walk and speak with emergency crews. One vehicle came to rest in a nearby bean field. A fluid spill was also reported. The northbound lane of 42nd Street was blocked. We wish the man a full and steady recovery. What Compensation Can I Recover After a Car Accident in Murray, NE? After a car accident in Murray, you may be able to recover compensation for medical bills, lost wages, and pain and suffering. What you receive depends on your losses and how the crash has affected your life. While you wait for your claim to be resolved, your health insurance or medical payments coverage on your auto policy may help pay for treatment. This can make medical costs easier to manage as you recover. When the at-fault driver has no insurance, your uninsured motorist coverage may help pay for your losses. Nebraska requires this coverage on auto policies. Underinsured motorist coverage may also help if the other driver's policy limits are too low. To support your claim, save medical bills, pay stubs showing missed work, and vehicle repair estimates. You can also keep notes about how your injuries affect everyday activities, such as working, driving, or doing things around the house. If you share some of the blame, Nebraska reduces your compensation based on your percentage of fault. You cannot recover damages if you are found equally or more at fault than the other driver. In most cases, you have four years from the date of the crash to file a personal injury lawsuit in Nebraska. If you miss this deadline, you may lose your chance to seek compensation through the courts. During the claims process, a car accident lawyer can help you pursue a fair settlement that includes future medical expenses. An attorney can also negotiate with the insurer on your behalf so you can focus on your recovery. Our team at Harris & Associates helps people injured in car accidents throughout Nebraska. We can discuss what happened, answer your questions, and walk you through each step of the claims process. Omaha, NE (October 21, 2026) – A car hit a 12-year-old riding a scooter at the intersection of 40th Street and Farnam Street in Omaha. The collision was reported at about 7:16 p.m. Initial reports indicated that the child was awake and alert after the crash. The car stayed at the crash site. Emergency units responded to assist those involved. Authorities are investigating what led to the wreck. We hope the child receives the care and support they need to make a full recovery. What Should I Do If My Child Was Injured in a Pedestrian Accident in Omaha, NE? If your child was injured in a pedestrian accident in Omaha, you should make sure your child sees a doctor right away, even if their injuries seem minor. You should also report the crash to police. Children don't always say when something hurts, so watch your child closely in the days after the crash. Headaches, trouble sleeping, mood or appetite changes, and complaints of pain can all be signs. Tell your child's doctor about any changes. As your child recovers, save medical bills, appointment notes, and receipts for travel or other costs. A simple journal showing how the injuries affect your child's school, sleep, and play can also help. Because Nebraska is an at-fault state, the driver who caused the crash is generally responsible for your child's medical bills through their liability insurance. Meanwhile, your health insurance or auto medical payments coverage may help pay bills. Depending on your child's injuries, a claim may include medical expenses, future care, and pain and suffering. Future care could cover follow-up visits or therapy. You may also recover what you paid out of pocket for your child's treatment. When a child is injured, a Nebraska settlement may need a judge's approval, depending on the circumstances. This step helps protect your child's interests. Filing deadlines can also work differently for children, so it's best not to wait. If the insurer offers less than your child’s injuries may be worth, an Omaha pedestrian accident lawyer can help you seek a fair settlement that accounts for your child’s current and future medical needs. An attorney can also handle the paperwork and court approval, so you can focus on caring for your child. Our team at Harris & Associates helps families throughout Nebraska after a child is hurt in an accident. We get to know your family's situation and give you clear guidance on what to expect. A pedestrian crash involving your child can leave you dealing with medical bills, missed work, and calls from insurance companies all at once. Omaha, NE (October 20, 2026) – One person was hospitalized following a crash on Interstate 80 near 108th Street on Monday night, October 19. The Omaha Police Department confirmed that one person was injured and taken to a hospital. The available report did not provide details about the person’s injuries. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing. We wish everyone injured in the wreck a smooth and complete recovery. What Can Affect an Injury Claim After an Interstate Crash in Omaha, NE? After an interstate crash, an injury claim may depend on how the collision occurred, the evidence available, and the insurance coverage involved. Under Nebraska law, a person may seek compensation when another party’s negligence causes injury, subject to applicable legal requirements. The circumstances of the crash, the severity of the injuries, and the losses suffered may all influence how a potential claim is evaluated. Relevant documentation may include the police report, photographs, witness statements, medical records, vehicle repair estimates, and proof of lost income. Records of treatment and related expenses can help document the losses associated with a crash. Keeping insurance communications organized may also be useful during the claims process. If multiple vehicles were involved, information about each driver’s actions may help clarify how the collision happened. Nebraska follows a comparative negligence system, so a person’s share of responsibility can affect whether they may recover damages and how much they may receive. An attorney can review the available evidence, explain the legal standards that may apply, and help assess possible insurance or injury claims. After an interstate collision, it may also be helpful to keep a timeline of symptoms, appointments, and recovery-related expenses. Some injuries may become more noticeable in the hours or days following a crash, making medical follow-up important. Preserving relevant records can help provide a clearer picture of the incident and its impact. At Harris & Associates, we help people across Nebraska after car accidents and other traffic crashes. Our team explains how the claims process works and answers your questions along the way. Call Harris & Associates at (402) 397-1202 to discuss your situation with an Omaha car accident lawyer and learn more about your legal options. Plattsmouth, NE (October 20, 2026) – A bicyclist was struck by a car near Main Street and South 7th Street in Plattsmouth on Sunday, October 18. Plattsmouth police officers and Plattsmouth Fire and Rescue personnel responded to the scene to assist those involved. Details about the bicyclist’s injuries and their current condition have not yet been released. The crash is still being investigated. We hope everyone involved in the crash is able to make a full and lasting recovery. What Evidence Can Help Establish Fault in a Bicycle Crash in Plattsmouth, NE? When a car and bicycle collide, determining responsibility may require reviewing how each party was traveling and whether applicable traffic laws were followed. Under Nebraska law, a person injured due to another party’s negligence may be able to seek compensation, depending on the circumstances and available evidence. Relevant evidence may include the police report, witness statements, photographs of the scene, and any available video footage. If injuries are confirmed, medical records can document treatment and related expenses. Records of missed work and other costs may also help establish the financial effects of the collision. Keeping these documents organized can make it easier to review the losses connected to the incident. Nebraska follows a comparative negligence system, meaning a person’s share of responsibility may affect their ability to recover damages. An attorney can review the available evidence, explain applicable legal standards, and assess whether an injury claim may be appropriate. Any recovery depends on the facts and supporting documentation. Because bicycle collisions can involve significant physical and financial consequences, seeking prompt medical attention and keeping records of treatment may be helpful. Each situation is different, and a careful review of the circumstances can help clarify the legal options that may be available. At Harris & Associates, we help bicyclists injured in crashes across Nebraska understand their legal and insurance options. We take time to understand what happened, answer your questions, and keep you informed as your claim moves forward. Call Harris & Associates at (402) 397-1202 to discuss your situation with our bicycle accident lawyer and learn what steps you should take next. Omaha, NE (October 20, 2026) – A two-car crash occurred near 180th Street and Q Street in Omaha on Tuesday, October 20. Omaha Fire Department crews responded to the scene to assist those involved. At this time, details about the number of people injured and the extent of their injuries have not been confirmed. The circumstances leading up to the crash remain under investigation. We hope those affected by the wreck receive the care they need and recover fully. What Should Drivers Know About Filing an Injury Claim in Omaha, NE? After a car crash, determining whether compensation may be available depends on the evidence, the injuries confirmed, and the insurance coverage involved. Under Nebraska law, a person may seek damages when another party’s negligence caused their injuries, subject to applicable legal requirements. The circumstances of the collision, the extent of the injuries, and the losses suffered can all affect how a potential claim is evaluated. Records that may help support a claim include the police report, photographs, witness statements, medical records, repair estimates, and documentation of lost income. Keeping copies of insurance correspondence and related expenses can also help create a clearer record of the losses associated with the crash. These documents may help establish how the collision occurred and how it affected the injured person’s health, finances, and daily activities. Nebraska follows a comparative negligence system. A person’s share of responsibility can affect their ability to recover damages, and recovery may be barred if their negligence is equal to or greater than the negligence of the party against whom they seek recovery. For this reason, evidence showing each driver’s actions before and during the crash may be important. Insurance companies may review these details when assessing liability and potential compensation. Medical follow-up is also important after a collision, as some injuries may not be immediately apparent. Keeping appointments and maintaining records of symptoms and treatment can help document the effects of the crash. Each claim depends on its specific facts, available evidence, and applicable law, so reviewing these details can help clarify the options that may be available. At Harris & Associates, we help people injured in car crashes across Nebraska understand their legal options. We take the time to listen, answer your questions, and provide guidance based on your circumstances. If you were injured in a car crash in Omaha, contact Harris & Associates at (402) 397-1202 to discuss your case with an Omaha car accident lawyer and learn how we can help you move forward. Papillion, NE (October 19, 2026) – Three people were taken for medical treatment following a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 eastbound and Harrison Street on Saturday, October 17. Emergency crews from the Omaha Fire Department and Papillion Fire Department were dispatched to assist those involved. A 47-year-old female driver suffered a head laceration and an arm deformity, according to authorities. Paramedics transported her to Bergan Mercy Medical Center under a trauma alert. Another ambulance transported two additional patients to the same hospital. Both were backseat passengers, though their ages and reported injuries were not provided. The crash is still being investigated. We hope everyone involved in the wreck recovers fully and quickly. What Compensation May Be Available After a Crash in Papillion, NE? People injured in a motor vehicle crash may be eligible to seek compensation when another party's negligence contributed to their injuries. Under Nebraska law, determining legal responsibility requires examining the available evidence and the specific circumstances of the collision. These factors can help injured individuals identify potential legal options. If a claim may be available, the next step is to document the injuries and related losses. Potential damages may include medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, lost wages, and other injury-related losses. Medical records, treatment bills, photographs, witness statements, and available crash reports may help establish what happened and the financial consequences for those involved. Because liability and damages can vary from case to case, a car accident lawyer can review relevant records, explain Nebraska's comparative negligence rules, and assess whether a claim against another driver or party may be appropriate. When several people are involved in the same accident, each injured person's circumstances, injuries, and losses must be evaluated individually. If you have been injured in a crash in Omaha, our team at Harris & Associates is here to help. We can review the details of your case, explain your potential legal options, and guide you through the next steps. You can call Harris & Associates at (402) -397-1202 to discuss what documentation might support your situation. Our car accident lawyer can help you build a strong claim. Norfolk, NE (October 19, 2026) – A woman was airlifted to an Omaha hospital after a vehicle struck a power pole and traveled down an embankment in Norfolk on Friday night, October 16. The crash was reported near 1020 East Omaha Avenue at approximately 10:43 p.m., according to the Norfolk Police Department . Investigators determined that the vehicle was traveling north on South Victory Road when it left the roadway, struck a power pole, and slid down a flood control embankment before coming to a stop near a sidewalk. Officers found a female passenger suffering from head and facial injuries. She was airlifted to the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, where her injuries were believed to be non-life-threatening. The male driver had left the scene before officers arrived. Police searched the surrounding area using a drone but were unable to locate him. Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. We wish the injured passenger a steady recovery. How Is Fault Established After a Crash in Norfolk, NE? Determining fault after a serious crash often requires examining the actions of each driver and the available evidence. Under Nebraska law, negligence claims generally depend on whether a party failed to use reasonable care and whether that failure contributed to the injuries. To build a clearer picture of the collision, evidence may include the official crash report, photographs of the roadway and damaged vehicle, witness statements, medical records, and any available video footage. Records documenting treatment costs, missed work, and other injury-related expenses may also help establish the losses connected to the crash. Preserving these materials can be useful when discussing the incident with insurers or legal counsel. Once the relevant documentation has been gathered, a car accident attorney can review the evidence, identify unanswered questions, and explain how Nebraska's comparative negligence rules may affect a potential claim. If multiple parties may share responsibility, the evidence and applicable law can influence whether compensation is available and how it may be calculated. An attorney can also explain filing deadlines and help clarify which records may be needed to evaluate the claim. At Harris & Associates, we help people hurt in car accidents across Nebraska. We take time to understand how the crash affected you, review the circumstances, and provide guidance based on your situation. If you have questions about filing a claim after a car accident in Norfolk, contact Harris & Associates at (402) 397-1202.
